A Sarcastic Look At Political Correctness Under Trump

As if the War on Christmas was not bad enough, now liberals have initiated a battle against Easter. After “the horrible terrorist attacks on churches and hotels that have killed at least 138 million people,” former President Obama could not even bother to acknowledge the clear persecution of Christians within the United States.  Instead, he diminished “the attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka” as a simple “attack on humanity.” How dare  he not give “any hint of their faith or the significance of the day.” The victims could have been Hindus celebrating Easter!

Obama was not the only Muslim to make light of this Christian tragedy during the past week. While it “would have [been] so easy for [Representative Ilhan Omar] to just acknowledge the religious loss” after the tragic fire at Notre Dame, she would not mention that “it was a house of worship. A Catholic Cathedral.” Instead, she focused on how “art and architecture have a unique ability to help us connect across our differences and bring people together in important ways.” She diminished the religious significance of the building by treating it simply as “one of the great treasures of the world, the greatest artists in the world”, just a building that “might be greater than any museum in the world”.

Of course, this insensitivity is not surprising coming from someone who considers 9/11 as nothing more than an episode in which “some people did something”. As President Trump has reminded us, he "watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down. And...in Jersey City, New Jersey...thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down." This is why he called for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.” Until all Muslims can atone for the actions of 19 people on that day, they have no right to complain about losing access to their civil liberties. They certainly should not be politicizing the tragedy.

While liberals retreat to their safe spaces, our President is doing the hard work of making America great again. Our businesses are no longer subjected to the tyranny of making extra profits from same-sex weddings and we can be assured that there is a man in the next stall when we pee with a wider than normal stance. With Trump at the helm, the fine people of ‘Merica can feel safe that political correctness has finally been vanquished and football players will be forced to stand for the National Anthem.
