2015 LAUSD and LACC Candidate Debate

Press Release from the organizers of the event:

"LAUSD and LACC Candidates Face Off!
Neighborhood Councils’ Influence Expands

Embattled LAUSD member Tamar Galatzan will take on five challengers at the Canoga Park Elks Lodge on February 17th, 2015 before the March 3rd 2015 primaries in Los Angeles. Moderated by President Elizabeth Ralston of the League of Women Voters and supported by the neighborhood Councils of Winnetka, Northridge West, Canoga Park and Northridge East plus the United Way of Greater Los Angeles and the local Chamber of Commerce, Chairs Erik Lace and David J Uranga have one again expanded the impact and impact of the local neighborhood councils by providing an opportunity for the community to ask questions of their board representatives at the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Event organizer and Northridge West Board Member, David Jason Uranga, explains. “We are very proud to sponsor this multi-candidate debate. Working with the “partners” NCs expands our credibility and attracts even more stakeholders and future sponsors. This debate may be the best chance for voters to get a last look at the LAUSD candidates before the primary elections in March.” The LAUSD Candidates face off will be followed by a second debate between Los Angeles Community College candidates for district #3. In this debate, the moderator and our audience will ask the four candidates questions regarding the vision and challenges to running the Los Angeles Community College School Board.

The Candidates Debate takes place February 17, 2015 at the Canoga Park Elks Lodge located at 20925 Osborne Street, Canoga Park between 6:00 and 9:00 PM. Parking on Osborne Street is free and refreshments are available.
